3/13 Push Jerk x 2 @ 155

Great Sleep! In bed by 8p & asleep by 9.  Up at 6a without alarm.

Throwback Thursday...2009 in first gym in Asheville. 2 years into CrossFit


Warmed up with some sub-maximal 1-arm Farmer's Carry work.  Trying to get in some touches of upward pulling/shoulder stabilization work.  2x 20m with 55/65/75lbs.  Rest as needed b/w sides. Feeling slightly better than yesterday.

A. Back squat @10X1; 50% 1rm; 2 reps; 8 sets; 40 sec rest Done.  Felt good. 
B. Thruster from rack; 2,2,1,1,1; rest 2 min  
(45, 75, 95, 105, 115, 125 all x 2-5); 2x135, 145, 1x 155 F @ 165, F @ 165. 
Corey pointed out this afternoon that I'm not applying any upward tension on the bar until after I drive my hips vs starting to recruit some upward pushing while in the bottom.  Thinking about how this feels makes me excited for the next time I hit some heavy thrusters.


C. Wtd pronated chin up @21X0; 1,1,1,1,1; rest 2 min
(2x27lbs 37lbs) 1x 47lbs 52lbs, 54.5lbs, 57lbs -barely, 57lbs-still barely.  Not feeling super mighty here today.  Shoulders feeling good.
Zach was loving my hardcore metal chain bling. lol


PM -1130a.  Had good energy after AM session.  Sipped a shake and decided to knock out the PM to then be at home for the evening.

A. Push jerk 4,3,2,4,3,2; rest 2 min
4x 125, 3x 135, 2 x 145, 4 x 135, 3 x 145, 2 x 155.  All TnG.  Felt better than last week's single at 160.  These are good for me to work on T-sp extension and to get comfortable dropping underneath.   



B. Snatch grip deadlift + snatch pull; 1.1x4; rest 90 sec
(85, 115, 145) 165, 175, 175, 180. 

C. Deadlift TnG 235#x3 every 2 min for 4 sets
Done.  Felt good.  The 2 minutes felt like a long wait.
