3/15/14 Open 14.3

Good sleep.
Post 14.3 snuggle in the sun with Hoka. 


A. Front Squat @ 20X1; 3-5 x 5
5 x 155, 165, 170, 4 x 175, 3 x 185.  No misses just called it.  It's a bit challenging to really push prior to the Open workout. 

B. Clean 2, 2, 2, 2. 125, 145, 155, 160. My neck is really stiff from doing forward & backwards rolls last night.  It's uncomfortable to look ahead in the set up so I called it a bit early.  Glad nothing overhead in the Open workout.

AMRAP in 8 minutes
10 deadlifts @ 95lbs
15 box jumps (did all step-ups) 20" While I'm short my legs are long relative to my torso so I was comfortable to step.  I can box jump, but take more mental focus so I opted to keep the mental focus on the deadlifts. 
15 deadlifts @ 135lbs
15 box jumps
20 deadlifts @ 155lbs
15 box jumps
25 deadlifts @ 185lbs
15 box jumps
30 deadlifts @ 205lbs
Had 90s left when I started the 205 deadlifts. did 1 set of 4, then a bunch of singles and if I remember right maybe one more double near the end.  completed 23 total for a score of 153. 
Felt good. 
Afternoon hike of around an hour.  Feeling good. 

3/16/14
Neck still sore from rolling on Friday, and traps are a bit sore, but low back feels good.  All the deadlift volume had me ready for yesterday.
Hour hike in the late afternoon. Otherwise a low key day.
